About Guanlan print base

LOCATED northeast of Guanlan Town in Shenzhen, the Guanlan Original Print Industry Base is a tribute to Chen Yanqiao (1911-1970), a pioneer printmaker, educator and art theorist.

The print base was jointly set up by the Shenzhen Bao?ˉan District People?ˉs Government, the China Artists Association and the Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles. The three parties offer a platform for academic and commercial development by promoting five projects, including the Guanlan International Print Biennial, a print workshop, and the original print fair.

Built in the 300-year-old Dashuitian Village, the print base also provides ecological and artistic inspiration for visitors who come to appreciate the works of the famous artists, the ancient Hakka houses and unique local customs.

Following the commercial success of Dafen Oil Painting Village in Longgang District, Guanlan aspires to become an international base for creativity, exhibitions, research and trading prints.
